Outfits of the week: Red shoes, 5 ways
One of the (many) birthday presents I got from Warren were these wonderful red shiny heels from L.K. Bennett. I had been eyeing these up for months, so I'm so excited to finally have them in my closet! Obviously, I had to wear them each day this week to show you the many ways they could be styled. The weather didn't really cooperate, but some times you have to make sacrifices for fashion!
Tuesday called for burgundy pants (A&F), a patterned tee (J. Crew) and a cropped jean jacket (H&M). I like the contrast of the bright red shoes with the burgundy...you definitely don't have to worry about matching; red is a neutral that works with anything!
Wednesday was all about mixing patterns. My top is a burgundy polka-dot top from Modcloth and the skirt is a brown/black small cross pattern. It ended up snowing later this day, which sucked.
I love the combination of mint and red (check out my Cinque Terre outfits), so these shoes were the perfect pop of color paired with a mint/dark blue striped top (Target!), a mint/green infiniti scarf (Pieces) and skinny jeans (Loft).
On Friday, we woke up to piles of snow! So I actually wore boots to work and changed into the red heels for an evening look. These leggings are my go-to everyday ones from Zella, with the most comfortable grey V-neck (BP) and this bird-print scarf.
