Outfits of the week: Cinque Terre
It’s fun to plan outfits for vacation, since I feel like I can wear things a bit more bold and exciting than I normally would (or at least that’s the excuse I give myself). I also managed 6 outfits in 4 days, so it was worth it!
We arrived on Friday and I wore my new striped romper from Anthropologie, along with turquoise tassel earrings. Because if you can't wear bright tassel earrings on the Italian Riviera, when can you?! For dinner that evening I changed into my black floral dress from Mango, with my favorite faux suede jacket.
Saturday was pouring rain and thankfully I had packed my ON rain jacket, which was perfect for the weather. I also had on my ON trainers and True Religion Halle jeans. Of course a flowery umbrella makes all rainy days better – this one is left over from the six I had bought at H&M before our wedding, just in case it rained (it didn’t).
Sunday was our hiking day and so sunny and warm. While some people on the trails were in full hiking gear and others were in their Easter dresses (or speedos), I went with something in between: a light-weight red striped top and mint-colored linen shorts. Both are several years old and from Anthropologie and were super comfortable for the 3-hour hike. However, we were still happy to shower and change into nicer clothes for dinner. I wore this new burnt-orange lace dress (from Anthropologie – can you guess my favorite store?) with yellow tassel earrings (if you’re going to buy one color, you might as well buy two!!). I probably could have bought a size smaller in the dress, but after paying ridiculous import charges, it wasn’t worth exchanging!
Monday was our travelling home day, so I went with a grey striped skirt and dark blue twist-shoulder top. I like tops that have a little surprise or something unique. These sandals are also one of my favorite etsy finds – handmade by Sandalaki in Greece. And look, they have tassels! I’m sensing a theme here!
