Hi.

I'm an American living in Switzerland, sharing my love of food, travel and wellness - from one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Outfits of the week: 31 weeks pregnant

It's less about fashion these days and more about comfort, because Pregnancy. I can't really reach my feet (or see them), everything feels tight (even elastic waists) and I rotate between the same 3 pairs of maternity pants, because I can't bring myself to spend more money on clothes that won't fit in a few weeks! I've stopped wearing heels or any of my other cute shoes, because Swelling; instead my sneakers are seeing a lot more daylight (in the office that is...I definitely haven't been wearing them for any real exercise) - bonus if they slip on without laces. Luckily my office is pretty casual, but I do miss dressing up occasionally.

Warren just came back from the UK, where he drove to pick up the tons of baby items I had ordered online and had delivered to his brother's house - so much less expensive and much better selection than buying in Switzerland. He was also sweet enough to surprise me with a few maternity/nursing tops from Seraphine, a store I've never heard of, but apparently is where all the pregnant UK celebs shop. This grey roll-neck sweater is super comfy (and worn by Binky Felstead, whoever that is) and practical. I wore it with my trusty maternity leggings from H&M, jean jacket and new burgundy velvet slides (I love this color, especially for Fall!!)

In my effort to be a "cool mum", I ordered a pair of Van's sneakers. My sister and her friend both had a pair when they were visiting last month, so all the cool kids are wearing them. But to be different I went with the moss green, rather than the standard black. And this Rich & Royal graphic tee is not even maternity! But I did order one size larger than usual. I've been wearing this Asos faux suede biker jacket for months now and it is still one of my favorites (and gets lots of compliments).

I really do love Autumn colors and this burnt orange twist-front top is a nice option for pregnant bellies. This blanket-style vest is actually from a few years ago, but purchased from my cousin Sydney's boutique (Hyde Park MKE) - stop in if you live in the Wauwatosa area, she always has the cutest things!

Another great autumnal hue is this deep red cardigan. I kinda want to wear it every day, it's so cozy. I've also been stocking up on these Gap Maternity tanks (on sale now!) - I have both black and plum. It's the perfect combo for Fall, since it's been really cold in the morning when I'm waiting for my train, but then I'm sweating in the sun by early afternoon.

I feel like so many maternity tops are stripes, which of course seem to accentuate the bump. I haven't decided if I like that or not. But I do love this blue/white-striped Esprit top because of the little ruffles on the sleeves. Of course, since it was cold in the morning I covered up with a yellow H&M cardigan and my big winter scarf. And no Autumn outfit is complete without blue-suede booties!

Lastly, I've been loving this dark blue (Less is Norse) nail polish shade from OPI's Iceland collection. I wish it wasn't so expensive here!
